The Festival Is Over!
The festive crowd that gathered at the Castro Theatre Thursday night to see Robert Altman’s A Prairie Home Companion was entertained by a Q&A session after the screening with two of the stars, Lily Tomlin and Virginia Madsen. Festival director Graham Leggat brought the 49th International to a close by announcing the winners of juried prizes and the Virgin Megastore Audience Award, and announced that at midnight, the celebration of the Festival’s 50th anniversary would officially begin!
